Today, we protect more than 1.4 billion mailboxes. As a software developer in Hanover, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of services related to email security, while maintaining and optimizing our portfolio. In this role, you will continuously have the opportunity to learn new technologies and collaborate closely with a global team of colleagues in Spain, Canada, the USA, France, and Germany, contributing to groundbreaking projects in global email security.

Your Job

• You develop, maintain, and enhance services related to email security using Go, C, or Python.
• You apply pragmatic solutions to optimize the platform for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new email security features.
• You troubleshoot and resolve platform performance and security issues with a practical, results-oriented approach.
• You write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• You contribute to platform improvements through code reviews, best practices, and continuous refinement.
• You help create and enhance tools for managing and automating email filtering and security policies, always considering real-world use cases and performance.

Your Profile

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You bring 2+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Go, C, or Python.
• You have a strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and email security concepts.
• You have experience with network-based applications, particularly email security or similar messaging services.
• You are proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
• You are familiar with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• You have knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (a plus).
• You possess practical problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• You can communicate and collaborate effectively within a diverse, international team.
• You are proficient in English, both speaking and writing.

• You have experience working with high-volume email processing or message traffic systems.
• You possess knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to email services.
• You are familiar with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
