A four-eye approval process has been introduced to 365 Total Backup:
  • Four-eye approval represents an additional layer of security that mitigates risks of losing data due to actions of rogue and novice administrators.
  • It is disabled by default and can be enabled during or after onboarding a tenant.
  • Four-eye approval requires at least two administrators to be assigned as approvers.
  • The feature allows only assigned administrators to approve or rejects requests for sensitive operations such as:
    • Disabling users, groups and sites from backup
    • Deleting backup data for users, groups and sites
    • Organization deletion
    • Changes to retention policy settings
    • Changes to Four-Eye approval settings
