Intro

As a Golang Software Engineer (m/f/d) at Hornetsecurity, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our messaging platform that incorporates cutting-edge features for secure and efficient message processing. Our messaging platform that is widely used by large ISPs across Europe, the US, and Japan. You will work with a team of skilled Golang engineers in the messaging services team within our Security Lab department. This department is dedicated to leveraging modern approaches and technologies to ensure the highest levels of email security.

We are searching for someone to join us as soon as possible for 40 hours peer week in our office in Skopje.

Your Job

• You develop and maintain our messaging services using Golang.
• You build and enhance tools for writing and managing email filtering policies.
• You optimize the messaging platform for performance and scalability to handle high message traffic volumes.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new modern messaging features.
• You troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the messaging platform and email delivery.
• You write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• You participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You posess 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Golang.
• You have a strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and email security concepts.
• You have got experience with developing and maintaining messaging services, like an MTA, or similar network-based applications.
• You are proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
• You are familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
• You have knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• You posess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Your desire is to learn and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Your English speaking and writing skills are excellent.
